The White Island volcano in New Zealand erupted suddenly as tourists were viewing the crater on Monday, December 9, 2019.
Tourists were visiting the island, even after experts raised the alert level last month.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said 11 Australians are unaccounted for and 13 were hospitalized, reported the AP.
American newlyweds, Lauren Urey and Matthew Urey, from Richmond, Virginia, were severely burned while touring the island during their honeymoon.
Some tourists were seen running into the sea to escape the burning heat and ash.
Tourists were reportedly from Britain, the United States, Germany, China, Australia, Malaysia and New Zealand.
It is believed there are at least 8 bodies on the island that cannot be retrieved at this time.
Geoff Hopkins, who was in a boat with his daughter offshore, told the Herald that survivors were “horrifically” burned.
The Word of God tells us concerning the last days,
“And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath, blood, fire and vapor of smoke (volcanoes erupting)” Acts 2:19
“There shall be signs in the sun, the moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring (tidal waves and tsunamis)” Luke 21:25
“And heaven departed, as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places” Revelation 6:14
Bible prophecy concerning the last days tells us volcanoes will erupt, blood will be shed; there will be tidal waves, tsunamis and the mountains and islands will be “moved out of their places.”
Now is not the time to visit islands, live on islands, visit volcanoes, or live near volcanoes, or live in coastal areas.
We are living in the last days and more of these events will take place.
These are the warning signs, folks.
Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.
Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.
“The Spirit and the bride say, Come; and let him who hears say, Come; and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17
